Credit-Free Instructor: Orthopedic Assessment I - (3438) Job Title Credit-Free Instructor: Orthopedic Assessment I Job Type Contract Union Exempt Salary Grade Hybrid Work This position is ineligible Location About this Position About the Role The department is seeking a professional interested in contributing their expertise to teach in the Massage Therapy Diploma. Orthopedic Assessment I In-Person: 8:00am - 10:25pm (2 hours/day) Online: TBA This blended course has an online lecture and in-person components. The instructor will use the approved curriculum; implementation of applicable curriculum assessment measures; marking and submitting final course grades. The instructor will also be required to maintain regular contact with the administration team and adhere to university policies and deadlines. This course will demonstrate the application of soft tissue assessment principles and techniques. This will include initial interview and history documentation, accurate orthopedic assessment, and analysis of assessment findings with respect to the general principles of anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Students will learn to apply and expand charting skills to document assessment findings. Understanding the principles of assessment, and accurately performing appropriate assessment techniques will be emphasized. Responsibilities Instruction: Marking/grading Course outline preparation Facilitate course delivery using approved curriculum and learning materials Review and revision of course assessments An online instructor is required to access the course daily; however, there are no predetermined times of the day an instructor is required to be online. Online instructors must have reliable internet service throughout the entire period of the course. Reply to students within 24-48 hours. Administration: Marking and submission of course grades Maintain regular contact with the program administrative team Participate in virtual instructor meetings and individual meetings with the program coordinator as required Participate in meetings and adhere to university policies and deadlines Qualifications Post-secondary credential in a related field Demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to apply them effectively in instructional settings Working knowledge of copyright and APA citation Experience with accreditation Instructional experience in an adult education environment is an asset Strong organizational and time management skills Self-motivated and self-directed Proficiency with Google Workspace Proficiency with the D2L learning management system is an asset Closing Date: November 1, 2025 A cover letter and resume should be submitted as part of your application in .pdf format.
