As a CAT Parts Sourcing Specialist, youll manage end-to-end procurement functions, validate supply constraints, research alternative solutions, and implement sourcing strategies to improve parts availability and reduce downtime for customers.## **Job Description:*** Order parts from Caterpillar and non-Cat suppliers to meet customer delivery requirements.* Monitor stock, consolidate emergency orders, and maintain accurate records.* Expedite emergency orders considering vendor timelines, transportation, and costs.* Investigate inventory issues and recommend process improvements.* Collaborate with branches, planners, and supply chain teams to resolve constraints.* Provide backup support during high-volume periods or absences.* Ensure compliance with safety and company policies while representing Finning professionally.**Day-to-Day Activities:*** Order parts from Caterpillar and non-Cat suppliers to meet customer delivery requirements.* Monitor stock, consolidate emergency orders, and maintain accurate records.* Expedite emergency orders considering vendor timelines, transportation, and costs.* Investigate inventory issues and recommend process improvements.* Collaborate with branches, planners, and supply chain teams to resolve constraints.* Provide backup support during high-volume periods or absences.* Ensure compliance with safety and company policies while representing Finning professionally.**Requirements:*** 3+ years combined experience in either a post-secondary education in Operations Management, Supply Chain, related field or relevant job experience.* Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with heavy equipment is an asset.* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.* Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel) and experience with MRP systems (Lawson preferred).**Important:*** Based out of our Edmonton head office.* Temporary, full time role for 6 months.* Monday Friday, 5x2 schedule.If youre passionate about supporting service operations and delivering exceptional customer experiences, apply today!
