Job Description 3M is seeking a Webline Process Engineer for its Manufacturing Engineering team, located in Brockville, ON. Successful security clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Registration program is a mandatory pre-requirement for this position at this location. The following are some (but not all) of the requirements for Controlled Goods Clearance: Must be a Canadian citizen normally residing in Canada, or must be a Permanent Resident normally residing in Canada Must have valid and current identification (e.g., drivers license, passport, birth certificate) Must be able to provide a residential address and employment history of the past 5 years If applicable, living outside of Canada during the past five years will require an international criminal name check The Impact Youll Make in this Role As a Webline Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. You will be responsible for initiating and conducting defined technical tasks usually associated with Process and Product Understanding within a manufacturing environment. Here, you will make an impact by: Supporting engineering aspects of Plant safety improvement plans Developing and executing OEE improvement projects on tape adhesive coating and paper treating lines Developing and executing yield improvement plans for both design and process scrap Supporting the maintenance and optimization of webline gauging systems Supporting material substitution projects to help drive down unit cost Supporting new product introduction efforts Supporting implementation of renewal, cost reduction and growth-related capital projects Supporting a 24/7 production environment Required Qualifications (Day 1) College diploma or bachelors degree (completed and verified prior to start) in an electrical or industrial controls field Five (5) years of combined experience in engineering and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further Experience with Siemens and Schneider industrial controls platforms Experience with webline variable frequency drive systems, webline steering and tension controls Minimum of three (3) years working with cross-functional teams Demonstrated strength in engineering/technical skills Self-starter/self-directed that leads with high energy and passion Travel and Relocation Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international Relocation: Not offered What We Offer Comprehensive Benefit Plan, RSP plan, Stock Purchase Plan, Incentive Plan, and Defined Contribution Pension Plan Health & Wellness subsidies Individual Development Plan and Tuition Reimbursement Program We work to reflect the diversity of our global customers, suppliers and channel partners, and build on each individual employees abilities.
