Job Description Position Purpose summary: The Training Coordinator supports the design, development, coordination, and delivery of training programs for employees at the Edmonton Centre of Hope. The role enhances employee skills, supports organizational development and aligns training initiatives with the Centres strategic objectives. Responsibilities Coordinate the efficient execution of existing training programs. Assist in recruitment by identifying training needs for new hires and coordinating orientation programs. Support design, development, and facilitation of new training programs that meet organizational and funder requirements. Identify skills and knowledge gaps through training needs assessments and contribute to the development of training to address those gaps. Collaborate with management to develop appropriate training sessions or resources. Create instructional materials (print and digital) to support new learning objectives and update existing training programs. Develop and maintain training calendars, schedules, and timetables for inservice and external training. Coordinate logistics for training sessions, booking facilities, arranging equipment, and communicating with participants. Serve as liaison between trainers and employees, ensuring resources are accessible and current. Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, recommending improvements. Stay informed about emerging training methods, technologies, and best practices. Ensure compliance with internal policies, funder obligations, and applicable regulatory standards. Maintain and manage training materials and resources as required. Provide administrative support to trainers. Track and monitor employee participation in mandatory training programs. Maintain accurate training records in accordance with standards. Prepare and distribute reports on training activities, completion rates, and outstanding requirements. Maintain practicum contracts with postsecondary institutions and facilitate student placements. Assist with volunteer services and recruitment of practicum students. Communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners regarding training needs. Qualifications Completion of a formal postsecondary program of at least 2 years in HR Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract. Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check. Minimum of 1 years experience coordinating training administration in a nonprofit or social services environment. Minimum 1 year facilitation experience. Experience designing and developing training content preferred. Experience developing instructional materials, both print and electronic, including elearning content. Knowledge of training program design, adult learning principles, and assessment methods. Excellent facilitation and presentation skills. Strong organizational and timemanagement skills. High attention to detail in recordkeeping. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Sound understanding of the Salvation Armys mission and principles. Compensation Target hiring range: $49,912.66 $74,869.00 per annum.
