Responsibilities The Project Manager will manage all aspects of the Uxbridge Hospital Redevelopment Project, engaging with external agencies, funding partners, municipal bodies, and regulatory authorities to obtain required approvals. Work with user groups, consultants, contractors and stakeholders from planning to construction and commissioning. Collaborate with consultants, Ministry of Health, Building Officials and other regulatory bodies to ensure proper information flow during development. Ensure all internal and external project approvals are received, such as Building Permits, Occupancy Certificates, and Ministry of Health approvals. Procure professional services and vendors as required, including preparing RFX, working with procurement to select and award contracts, and issuing Purchase orders in accordance with public sector policies. Review and evaluate RFP/RFQ submissions, focusing on safety, wellbeing and continuity of care for patients, as well as staff workflows. Review architectural drawings for coordination with existing infrastructure and interdisciplinary collaboration with facilities, maintenance and operations. Prepare order of magnitude estimates, business cases, briefing notes, presentations and costbenefit analyses for project and budget planning purposes. Manage construction of facility improvement and capital projects. Identify, research and facilitate alternative funding sources or incentive programs such as LEED, ESCO, AFP, etc. Assist with project closeout and Ministry of Health settlement. Confirm adherence to Building Code, Fire Code, Ministry of Health Capital Planning process and other relevant guidelines. Deliver projects safely, on time, within cost and quality, in accordance with Oak Valley Health standards. Provide professional project monitoring and reporting systems. Control project change, risks and contingency, ensuring cost and project details are accurate. Provide a safe working environment, including development of safety plans and associated documentation. Develop and disseminate communication/marketing, training and change management plans. Review and analyze data to develop policies, procedures and standards for all project aspects. Resolve tender difficulties and propose solutions to Senior Management. Maintain project documentation repositories. Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications College Diploma in construction management, engineering, clinical or project management (equivalent experience accepted). Minimum 5 years experience managing medium to largescale projects within a multisite and/or multiorganization context, with a required healthcare background. Experience planning major projects including programming, concept development, implementation and construction. Understanding of capital planning strategies, models and practices required for building design, construction and renovations. Proven ability to build consensus and foster teamwork among diverse stakeholders. Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, building codes and health & safety regulations. Proficient computing skills, especially Microsoft Office, financial reporting software and facility condition software. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam and MS Project is preferred. Sound knowledge of facility management principles with experience partnering in construction projects is an asset. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational and planning skills. Knowledge of institutional construction estimating and procurement practices, and understanding of alternative financing and procurement is a plus.
