Overview Construction Manager, Transportation Engineering Services Canada at Amazon. Description: As a Construction Manager, you are a customer obsessed leader in the Amazon construction process. You will be integral to the implementation of the facility network infrastructure, including sortation centers, delivery stations, and auxiliary buildings that support those facilities. Construction projects include new builds, retrofits, and expansions. You will perform detailed budget and schedule reviews to identify and resolve discrepancies, including information in contractor bid packages. You will partner with internal customers and external stakeholders to earn their trust and deliver results. You must ensure information is communicated to internal and external stakeholders in an effective and timely manner. The role combines construction, engineering, planning, project management, facilities management, and contract management. The position includes approximately 60% travel in North America. Basic Qualifications A completed Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or comparable field 5+ years as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, or other Construction-related disciplines 5+ years project management experience from design phase through implementation and operation 5+ years negotiating construction, procurement and labor contracts 5+ years familiarization with AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM), as well as scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar) Preferred Qualifications Experience with at least two disciplines within the construction industry (General Contracting, Owners Representation, Commercial Development, or Engineering & Design) or similar, with demonstrated success in communicating project requirements to various audiences Experience inclusive of facilities manager or similar and demonstrated capability in planning, design review & implementation, and project management/control of new structures and the enhancement of existing facility buildings Experience in program management of concurrent projects Project Management accreditation (PMP or similar) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
