Automotive Service Technician (Performance Mercedes-Benz) Position at Performance Auto Group the largest MercedesBenz inventory in Niagara. We offer over 150 instock vehicles and are an awardwinning, fullservice dealer. We are looking for a Service Technician to join our dynamic team. Assist in maintaining and servicing highperformance German vehicles while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer care. Key Responsibilities Examine all vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required. Prepare a complete report on the back of the repair order. Estimate flatrate times for each recommendation. Obtain parts prices and note availability for each recommendation. Perform all work as outlined on the front of the repair order and authorized on the back. Order parts when authorized and document the action on the RO. Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or insurance, or if requested by the customer. Roadtest vehicles after service when relevant (e.g., wheel removal, repairs that affect drivability). Ensure all work is thorough, accurate, and completed in a timely fashion. Supervise apprentice technicians or students and report deficiencies to the Service Manager. Attend factorysponsored and dealerspecified training courses as scheduled. Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and emerging automotive technologies. Maintain concentration to prevent obsolescence and avoid comebacks. Keep customer cars clean as or cleaner than when they arrived. Keep the shop area neat, clean, and dispose of garbage and hazardous waste per regulations. Other duties as required by management. Required Qualifications Fully licensed Automotive Service Technician (310S or higher). 35 years of experience in automotive mechanical operations. Valid Ontario drivers license with a good driving record. Willingness to work Saturdays as needed. Teamoriented, hardworking, positive attitude. Grade 12 diploma or equivalent (GED). Ability to work independently and under pressure. Strong diagnostic and electrical skills. Previous MercedesBenz experience is an asset.
