Reporting into the Director of Development, you will play a vital role in ensuring our software products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This role requires a proactive approach to testing, a deep understanding of QA principles, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver exceptional results.What You'll DoTest Design & Execution:Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scriptsPerform manual, exploratory, and automated testing to identify defectsQuality Assurance Practices:Collaborate with developers to define and review acceptance criteriaConduct root cause analysis to identify, document, and address quality issuesTechnical Testing:Perform API and integration testing with tools like Postman, Insomnia, or SOAP UIUtilize automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Robot Framework) to improve coverageConduct performance testing to assess system responsiveness and stabilityFamiliarity with core automated testing and version control concepts (e.g., XPath, implicit/explicit assertions, branch core Git code push/pull/merge)Tools & Processes:Utilize Git for version control; collaborate in Agile environmentsDocument tests and results using Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)Verify data using database clients (e.g., MongoDB Compass, Robo 3T)Contribute to team-established coding patterns and relevant best practicesContinuous Improvement:Stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and methodologiesInnovate and optimize testing processes to enhance efficiency and reliabilityWhat Were Looking ForExperience & Skills:2+ years in software testing (manual and automated) with strong QA methodologies and processesExpertise in web applications, API, and performance testing; skilled in automated test strategy improvementProven ability to execute and improve automated testing strategiesTechnical knowledge of change management and test case generation techniquesTechnical Proficiency:Familiarity with generative AI tools and their application in testingProficiency in testing frameworks (Selenium, Robot Framework) and tools (Ghost Inspector)Experience with database testing and query tools like MongoDB Compass or Robo 3TSoft Skills:Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities with meticulous attention to detailExcellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challengesEffective communication and collaboration skills to work across teamsDemonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, with awareness of team communication preferencesAble to create clear documentation used by the QA teamNice To Have SkillsExperience in performance testing and familiarity with related tools.Prior experience in Agile or DevOps environmentsLocationWe have embraced a distributed model of working to reach the best talent in the world.
