With a focus on road construction, bridge works, deep excavations, and underground utilities (sewer and watermain), the company is expanding its leadership team to meet growing regional demand. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee multiple civil infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to close-out. You will be responsible for client relations, project execution, financial performance, and mentoring a team of project managers, coordinators, and site staff. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage civil construction projects ranging from $50,000 to $20 million Collaborate with clients, consultants, and municipalities to ensure project delivery meets contract requirements Direct and support site superintendents, estimators, and project coordinators Monitor project budgets, schedules, and quality control Lead tendering, contract negotiations, and change order management Champion health & safety, risk mitigation, and environmental compliance Provide leadership in resolving technical challenges and on-site issues Report on project performance to senior leadership and stakeholders Qualifications 10+ years of progressive experience in civil construction, with at least 3 years in a senior PM role Proven delivery of roadworks, bridge, excavation, or deep utility (sewer / watermain) projects Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Strong knowledge of construction contracts (CCDC, MTO, municipal) Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar) PMP designation or P.Eng. an asset Whats in it for you Competitive salary and annual performance bonus Comprehensive health & dental benefits Vehicle allowance or company vehicle RRSP matching or company pension Opportunity to lead key infrastructure projects in Northern Ontario Supportive leadership team with long-term growth opportunities Apply Now If you're a senior-level civil construction professional ready to take on high-impact projects and lead a skilled team in Sudbury or Timmins, we want to hear from you. Requirements SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Working with Estimating in project pursuits, including risk management, sub contract buy outs and proposals as needed Prepare and manage sub contractor contracts and hold backs for project milestones Monitor project status reports for performance in safety, cost forecasting, and scheduling Manage the financial performance of the projects including approval of change orders Managing project team, client representative, consultant and trade contractor relationships. Monitoring progress of the design, including compliance issues, quality, general coordination, constructability, and timing of deliverables. Thorough communication of potential opportunities and challenges, and managing clients expectations through regular communication. QUALIFICATIONS : Post secondary education or training in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline. 10+ years heavy civil construction experience with at least 3 years in a Project Management role Experience in estimating civil and infrastructure projects preferred Experience managing heavy civil projects such as bridges, underground infrastructure, excavations and / or road construction Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture by application of health, safety, and environment principles and legislation. In-depth knowledge of the construction industry including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, construction law and building codes, and safety and quality management practices. Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills including the ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
