Join to apply for the Speech Language Pathologist role at School District No. 27.Effective March 31st, 2026 to June 30th, 2026, this position is 20% FTE (one day per week). Schedule to be determined in consultation with school administration.ResponsibilitiesProvide itinerant speech & language services to multiple public schoolsOffer consultation, direct services, and home programs for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12, with emphasis on primary gradesConduct speech & language screenings and assessments using standardized and informal measuresDesign and implement intervention strategies for students with communication disorders, including those with learning disabilities, autism, and other developmental disabilitiesParticipate in school-based team meetingsProvide guidance to EAs working in the speech and language programShare information about communication development and disorders with teachers, parents, and community membersSalaryBased on our salary grid and verified qualifications and experience, the salary range is $75,112 to $109,520 per annum, paid over 10 months.QualificationsMaster's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institutionEligible for certification with Speech and Audiology Canada (SAC) and membership with Hearing BCValid BC Driver's License and own vehicle; access to a district vehicle for longer distancesExperience in a school setting and with First Nations students is an assetAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCriminal Record Check requiredActive registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHBC)Additional InformationWe acknowledge the traditional lands of the Secwepemc, Tsilhqotin, and Dakelh peoples.
