We're looking for people like you to help make it happen.Job SummaryThe Product Manager - Education embraces industry trends and the needs of a changing work environment to deliver innovative solutions that enable ease of access, knowledge, and application of standards. The Product Manager owns and manages a portfolio of publications, education courses, and/or technology-based solutions related to standards. They work with internal and external stakeholders to identify market needs, develop business cases, secure funding, and develop effective solutions to fill gaps in the market. This position has a strong business orientation and maintains a close relationship with the market. The Product Manager helps develop a multi-year strategic plan for their product portfolio and manages the product development and go-to-market activities, proactively resolving issues and ensuring the successful launch of projects across various sectors and divisions. The Product Manager must possess a unique blend of leadership, marketing, business, and technical savvy. The Product Manager grows the programs or products in new and existing areas and deliver consistent results, including promoting the use and application of new and existing standards-solutions. The role excels in collaborating with sectors and members to grow user base and maintain relationships to facilitate high engagement and loyalty with CSA Group.Job ResponsibilitiesIdentify development opportunities that relate to new business, new markets, portfolio exits or enhancements to meet product, program, and divisional goalsLeads cross-sector and Divisional initiatives and working groups as relevant to support core responsibilities as requiredParticipates in defining functional strategies and leading, directly and indirectly, aspects of strategy implementation as requiredProvides guidance outside of direct reporting relationships to motivate and focus staff to achieve strategic business objectives and revenue results (as applicable)Conducts customer interviews, win/loss analyses, surveys, and focus groups; reviews customer feedback and product usage to identify trends and customer needsAttends industry events and tradeshows and engages regularly with customers and stakeholders at all levels to understand the needs of the marketConducts third party research and market surveysDevelops and continually updates buyer and user personas for top product offeringsUnderstands the industry landscape and how CSA Group products compare to competitive offeringsAssists in developing and maintaining multi-year strategic plan for portfolio and annual product development plansDevelops relationships with significant external and internal customers and stakeholders to identify new product development funding and/or product sales opportunities; leads proposal negotiation, development and contracting as requiredEnsures seamless customer/stakeholder experience by maintaining accurate and complete client files in SalesforceDevelops and oversees market launch plans for new products in collaboration with marketing, sales and marketing teams; ensure timely launch of ecommerce product pages and landing pagesDevelops product knowledge resources and conducts product knowledge training and provides coaching and guidance for internal staff and third-party distributors, if applicable. Shares best practices among the extended Commercial Services team.Working in collaboration with Marketing and Sales, proposes demand generation activities including the development of promotional plans (call-outs, email blasts, new lists, bundle promotions etc.)Collaborates with other Product Managers to identify cross-sells, bundles, subscription collection opportunitiesMakes strategic presentations to executive leadershipRepresents CSA Group professionally to external audiences and develops long-term strategic and business relationships with key stakeholdersDevelops positioning documents, business proposals, and business cases using data-driven decision making to identify viable opportunities that fit with the strategic objectives of the portfolio, as applicableParticipates in annual business planning and monthly revenue/cost forecasting; takes corrective actions as required to address potential shortfallsProvides regular management reporting and analysisWorks with product development team to ensure that new and revised products are delivered on time and meet contract requirementsIdentifies subject matter experts for product development and instructors for courses, if applicableAssists with developing and maintaining pricing models and also helps determine list prices for new and revised productsPreferred Education and ExperienceUniversity Degree and a minimum of 7 years of product management or marketing experienceStrong verbal and written skills including ability to present to senior leadersAbility to research, propose, and execute effective product plansProven project management skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authorityStrong organizational and time management skills including the ability to handle multiple simultaneous projectsAbility to develop new customer contacts and build outstanding client relationships at all levels in the organizationExperience with proposal writing and contract developmentProduct management certification and industry experience an assetEqual OpportunityCSASTANDARDS | Candidates with proficiency in French will be given special consideration.Ce que nous offrons / What we offerUn environnement de travail dynamique : Participez des projets qui ont un impact mondial.Possibilits de croissance : Travaillez avec une quipe diversifie et des parties prenantes issues de diffrents secteurs d'activit.Le Groupe CSA est un employeur qui souscrit au principe de l'galit des chances et s'engage respecter la diversit, l'quit et l'inclusion.
