As well as weekends as needed.Meets JDI's selection criteria.Who you are:Concern for quality of workAbility to work under pressure and adapt to unforeseen situationsGood work ethic, discipline and diligenceAbility to analyze and solve problemsAbility to work in a team and in a safe mannerFast learning speedAutonomous and meticulousStrong interpersonal skills and good communication skillsResponsibilitiesThe Automation technician works collaboratively with the production and maintenance team to deal with any electrical problems related to our production equipment in order to ensure continuous and reliable production.Must learn the operation of various production equipment.Check the operation of the machines and determine the cause of breakdowns.Read and interpret electrical schematics in order to troubleshoot and diagnose problems.Perform electrical and electronic component tests to verify continuity, current, voltage and resistance.Inspect, repair and/or install cables, lighting fixtures, cameras, sensors, encoders, circuit breakers, switches, transformers, electric motors, PLCs, electronic speed system (VFD), user interface, as well as any other electrical and electronic component of our industrial control systems.Check PLC control programs to find the causes of failures and modify programming when necessary.Adjust parameters in various PLCs and automated system components (e.g. PID loop adjustments)Calibrate equipment.Secondary Tasks:Participate in the project of installation of new equipment and equipment updatePanel manufacturing and control consoleWrite technical descriptions for future users (e.g. write a procedure for calibration)Adapt computer programs controlling PLCs to improve operation or make additions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
