Associate Professor Sociocultural Studies of Physical Activity and Health Join the Associate Professor Sociocultural Studies of Physical Activity and Health role at the University of Toronto Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education (KPE). The appointment is a full-time tenurestream position at the rank of Associate Professor and will begin on July1,2026. We invite applications from scholars with a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Kinesiology or a related social science, and a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. Responsibilities: sustain and lead an innovative, independently funded research programme; contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching and student mentorship; serve on faculty committees; collaborate with colleagues across the university and the broader research community. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Kinesiology or a relevant social science; sustained publication record in topranked, fieldrelevant journals; evidence of research impact and funding; teaching excellence demonstrated by a teaching dossier and endorsements from referees. Selection Process: scholarship review, interviews, research seminar, and meetings with faculty and students. Salary: commensurate with qualifications and experience.
