Position Sr. CNC Programmer About the Role Bell & Associates is searching for a Senior CNC Programmer to design and optimize manufacturing processes for precision machining in an aerospace environment. The role leads manufacturing engineers, production, quality, and procurement teams, collaborating with customers and vendors to develop efficient manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Develop and implement CNC programming strategies, optimizing processes and ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols. Launch and support new product introductions. Conduct performance evaluations of team members and provide constructive feedback for career development. Write and refine CNC programs to achieve machining efficiency, reduced cycle time, and improved quality within budgeted cost and time. Lead strategic initiatives to enhance CNC programming capabilities and overall productivity. Review and approve production drawings for accuracy and production-readiness. Analyze drawings and solid models of precision parts to determine optimal machining operation sequence. Design fixtures and tooling required for production and assembly. Monitor first article production and inspection to validate processes and ensure conforming results. Maintain awareness of project schedules, ensuring jobs run on time and within budget. Collaborate with Project Managers and Manufacturing Engineers to identify and mitigate production risks. Sustain standard machining techniques and stay updated on industry advancements. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members. Requirements 10+ years of experience programming a variety of machining centers (3, 4, and 5axis milling and turning machines) in highprecision machining environments. 2+ years of senior or lead role experience. 3+ years of programming for nickel alloy, titanium, and Inconel. Engineering degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical engineering preferred. Handson experience operating machines. Proficiency with Fanuc and Siemens CNC controls. Experience with Fanuc macro programming and use of machine variables in NC programs. Experience with Renishaw probing routines for tool offset compensation and inprocess verification. Advanced CNC editing/programming skills, including Mastercam, Cimco Edit, and Vericut CAD/CAM software (G code, M code, and postprocessor editing). CAD software experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor) and ability to interpret 3D models. Knowledge of shopfloor inspection tools. Indepth knowledge of cutting tool geometry, parameters, materials, and coatings. Comprehensive understanding of machine tool setter and deburring programming. Experience with costsaving project development and process troubleshooting. Strong written and oral communication skills for interaction with engineers and manufacturing personnel. Deep understanding of Engineering Change Management processes. Familiarity with superalloy machining (Inconel, titanium, stainless steel). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications. Knowledge of AS9100 and experience operating in a regulated environment.
