Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting & Insights BDO Canada is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Financial Reporting & Insights team and take ownership of key responsibilities that support our client relationships and internal processes. Responsibilities Prepare compilation engagements and corporate tax returns for a variety of businesses and nonprofit enterprises. Build effective working relationships with client contacts and respond promptly to client requests. Prepare trust returns and associated working papers. Prepare individual and corporate tax returns (T1, T2, T4, T5), GST/HST, and charity returns. Document and bring all significant engagement matters to the attention of the Manager/Partner and keep them informed of progress. Follow up with government agencies regarding payroll, assessments, GST, business numbers, and other regulatory matters. Grow expertise through learning & professional development. Experience and Education CPA designation (or equivalent) or actively pursuing the CPA. Degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a relevant field. 2+ years of accounting experience in public accounting or related work. Experience with compilations and tax return preparation.
