Job Description Union: Non-Union Site: Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Department: Department of Supportive Care, Psychosocial Oncology Work Model: OnSite Reports to: Manager, Department of Supportive Care Hours: 15 hours per week, additional hours may be available Shifts: Weekdays; Monday - Friday Status: Temporary Part Time (6 months) Closing Date: November 7th, 2025 Position Summary The Department of Supportive Care (DSC) is made up of three divisions Psychosocial Oncology (PSO), Cancer Rehab & Survivorship, and Palliative Care. This position supports the PSO at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to perform administrative tasks such as greeting patients in an outpatient clinical setting, scheduling patients, sending and tracking community outreach referrals, etc. Duties Providing positive patient experiences in an outpatient clinical setting, meeting quality standards set out by UHN, including registering patients in UHNs EPIC EMR system. Supporting the timely and efficient processing of incoming referrals, scheduling/rescheduling of patient appointments, responding to patients general inquiries, and cancelling patient appointments. Completing administrative tasks that support data entry for patient tracking requirements and maintaining several electronic calendars. Utilizing knowledge of medical terminology to support physicians and other clinicians. Ensuring efficient operation of the office, clinic spaces, and front desks, within scope of authority. Providing crosscoverage support as a member of an operational administrative team. Qualifications Completion of Secondary School or recognized equivalent. Completion of a recognized postsecondary office/medical administration program at the certificate level or equivalent. Two (2) years related administrative support experience. Experience working with EPIC EMR for managing referrals, appointment scheduling, and standard clinical operations is required. Experience with database and spreadsheet software is an asset. Prior onthejob computer/wordprocessing experience in a Microsoft Office environment is preferred. Experience in a teaching hospital environment is an asset. Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset. Excellent organizational, prioritization and timemanagement skills. Excellent interpersonal, customer, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to operate effectively in an interdisciplinary team. Ability to maintain and protect patient confidentiality.
