Overview Field Safety Coordinator at OSCO Construction Group . Location: Ontario, various project sites with regular travel between GTA and Southwestern Ontario. The role reports to the Director of Safety and supports safety training, program development, and implementation of local safety standards and procedures. Job Description The OSCO Construction Group operates in Ontario with locations in Woodstock and sites across North and Southwestern Ontario, including the GTA. Responsibilities Develop and maintain Health & Safety training material, including facilitating safety orientations and other safety training Maintain regular site inspections to identify unsafe actions or conditions Investigate incidents/accidents, determine root causes, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure resolution Participate in monthly Joint Health & Safety meetings and communicate safety information to management Collaborate with Field and Production Operations to update and maintain site safety manuals, policies, and procedures Create/update site-specific risk assessments, safe work practices, and emergency preparedness procedures Support preventative maintenance policy and procedures Review the effectiveness of the safety management system and propose improvements using KPIs Manage return-to-work programs to support employee recovery Maintain employee records and ensure training matrices are valid and up to date Manage data entry and maintenance of safety documentation Support investigation testing measures as required Travel within Ontario; a company vehicle is provided Additional duties as assigned Technical Requirements Three to five years of relevant safety experience in a construction or manufacturing environment Strong understanding of applicable legislation, regulations, and standards to maintain compliance Professional Safety designation (CSS, CSO, NHSA, NCSO, CRST, CRSP) would be an asset Post-secondary education or technical experience would be an asset Business Requirements Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills Ability to follow structured guidelines and policies, with ability to make corrections and recommendations Excellent time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Willingness to travel to various construction sites around Ontario Cultural Requirements Effective communication with all levels of management Self-starter with the ability to work towards goals with minimal supervision As a member of the OSCO Construction Group, OSCO Group Services Limited offers a comprehensive compensation package including health and dental coverage, life insurance, RRSP and tax-free savings account options.
