With over 25 years of experience in development, production, and finishing of custom plastic products, we are currently recruiting for the position of Accounting Administrator to join our team at our Centralia, Ontario facility. Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Administrator to support our accounting team with daytoday accounting operations. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Key Responsibilities Customer invoicing & accounts receivable: ensure accuracy and completeness of customer invoices by matching purchase orders with shipping documentation and verifying item details and quantities, process customer invoices promptly in the accounting system, address customer inquiries and resolve discrepancies, gather, review, and maintain credit applications for new customers. Vendor purchases & accounts payable: validate and process vendor invoices by matching purchase orders and packing slips, maintain accurate digital records, coordinate with internal departments, review AP listings and prepare them for weekly management approval, manage credit application processes for new vendors. Staff expenses & credit card management: review and verify employee expense claims and travel expenses ensuring compliance with company policies, ensure proper documentation and ledger coding of claims, record and reconcile company credit card transactions monthly, maintain digital records of receipts and invoices. HST compliance & reporting: ensure proper recording and reconciliation of HST. General accounting & administrative support: assist with journal entries, intercompany reconciliations, and other daytoday bookkeeping tasks, provide additional support as assigned. Qualifications 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably in a small to midsize business environment. Handson experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense claim processing, and general ledger entries. Familiarity with reconciling credit card and HST accounts. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems). Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Experience with digital recordkeeping and file organization. Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and general bookkeeping. Knowledge of Canadian sales tax (HST/GST) regulations and compliance is a strong asset. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
