As a member of the Project Delivery Team (PDT), the incumbent provides site management services from inception to conclusion of the project and offers insights into design and constructability, while living and promoting Westcors values: Authentic, Accountable, Collaborative, Innovative, Helping Others, and Having Fun. Safety and Quality Responsible for implementation of safety program, hazard assessments, inspections, incident and accident investigations, ensuring compliance. Overall responsibility for ensuring that Westcors Quality standards are met throughout the project. Responsible for compliance with contract documents regarding inspections and testing. Communication Liaison between all key industry partners involved in the project (Client, Consultants, Trade Partners) and responsible for communication throughout the project. Provide to Project Manager/Project Coordinator summary of work for monthly project updates, which would consist of schedule update, deliverables (shop drawing control), photos, budget update, concerns, constraints. Schedule and participate (and act as rotating chair where applicable) in monthly Project Success Self Evaluation meetings. Develop and follow up on siteinitiated RFIs. Assist Project Managers with site changes and change orders by providing detailed cost input. Follow up weekly on constraints assigned to Superintendent that are recorded in the Constraints Log. Construction Site Management Responsible for construction site management from start to finish. Responsible for monitoring and steering overall project schedule on a daytoday basis, alerting PDT to potential issues using Last Planner System. Review, understand and proactively manage the scopes of work within the contract documents. Accountable for ensuring productivity of Westcor crews completing Westcor selfperformed work. Responsible for preventative maintenance of tools and equipment. Coordinate mobilization (including setup of Westcor trailer with required technology) and demobilization of construction site. Participate in selection, performance management, and termination of field site personnel. Ensure accuracy and submittal of weekly timesheets. Monitor, update, and review overall project resources (labour, equipment, materials). Verify invoices, labour quantities, packing slips of incidental site POs. Complete and distribute Daily Job Logs. Lead Project CloseOut including final inspections, asbuilt drawings, deficiencies, warranty work and site demobilization in conjunction with Project Manager. Liaise with building authorities and regulators. Meetings Assist Project Manager with coordinating commissioning meeting and developing a commissioning plan combined with schedule (testing, equipment startups, training, turnover). Attend client meetings. Facilitate weekly Last Planner meetings. Validate and approve meeting minutes. Procurement Participate in Trade Award and Project Success process. Follow Westcor Procurement Model for sitepurchased materials and services. Assist PreConstruction when required with schedule development for future work. Financial Review and provide feedback to Project Manager on Trade Partners monthly progress bills. Participate in monthly site WIP meetings. Initiate documentation for cost recovery of backcharges after advising trades. Design Participate in design meetings and provide constructive feedback and recommendations regarding constructability, workflow, and schedule impact. Review preliminary design drawings to ensure accurate capture of client needs discussed in design meetings. Review ownersupplied equipment for compatibility with design and construction. Review shop drawings for accuracy, coordination and constructability. Turnover Coordinate and complete any and all job deficiencies. Conduct internal walkthrough in preparation for client turnover. Conduct client review of work. Oversee completion of deficiencyrelated work as necessary. Manage completion of warranty work as necessary. Mentorship Provide support and guidance to junior roles within the PDT. Foster an environment where learning is encouraged. Recommend opportunities so that members of the PDT know of and value the expertise and skills within the team. Encourage crossprogram collaboration to optimize resource use and achieve results. Encourage a passion for work and a sense of team. Motivate members to develop and exhibit a continuous improvement mindset. Conduct PDCAs with direct reports. Expected Skills and Attributes Good understanding of construction management and construction principles and practices. Good understanding of all Project Delivery Methods. Good understanding and accountability of site financial management of projects. With limited experience, the ability to seek guidance from senior roles. Ability to interpret legislation, laws and regulations. Analytical and creative thinking skills. Communication and customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form, including maintaining ongoing communication to anticipate and prevent potential problems, and developing positive relationships with stakeholders. Education and Experience Completion of secondary school. 6 years of related and progressive experience as a Site Supervisor. Journeyperson trade certification.
