We are looking to hire a Mill Metallurgist to join our Bell Creek Mill team in Porcupine, ON, on a fulltime basis. The schedule for this position is MondayFriday, 8 hrs/day. Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a campbased position. Job Responsibilities In this position, you will provide technical support and information to Mill Supervisors and Operators. You will be responsible for independently carrying out a wide range of complex engineering tasks related to process control, optimization, improvement projects, quality assurance, and laboratory experience. Other Duties Responsible for managing mill reagents, including ordering and shortterm and annual reagent budgets and monthend reagent counts and reporting. Complete daily and monthend metallurgical accounting. Precise and reproducible sampling at month end to determine mill gold inventories. Oversee fine carbon sampling, preparation, shipping, and accounting. Mill sampling for the purpose of determining ore moisture content, plant circuit surveys, grind analysis, etc. Perform lab experiments, including but not limited to size analysis, leach tests, carbon activity, and ETP tests. Identify and implement plant improvement opportunities; lead smalltomedium scale projects through to completion. Assist the Met group, Maintenance, General Foreman, and First Line Supervisors with respect to metallurgical performance in accordance with company objectives and procedures. Responsible for the training of summer students and the operation and seasonal commissioning/decommissioning of the effluent treatment plant. Assist in the development of Mill SOPs. Become proficient in the Mill Refiner duties. More About You While our ideal candidate has the following qualifications, we welcome applicants who may not meet every criterion to apply.
