Summary The Epic Systems Engineer Advisor is responsible for swiftly resolving production and infrastructureservice issues related to TI operations. As a member of the Epic technology transformation team, the advisor will provide cloud infrastructure services to a client base ranging from small businesses to global enterprises. Responsibilities include planning, configuration, verification, and maintenance of hardware and related infrastructure, ensuring consistent data integrity, security, and usability across companyaligned systems and enabling the workforce to work efficiently. Responsibilities Analyze and resolve support incidents affecting our infrastructure including server virtualization and routing, storage security and backup, and client applications. Provide individual enduser support via phone, email, and other channels. Plan, design, deploy, and troubleshoot networking devices such as NICs, wireless access points, and managed router/switches. Participate in onsite deployments, addons, and changes for new hires, promotions, and demotions. Accurately record tickets and resolutions in the servicedesk software system and maintain process vigilance. Work autonomously to prioritize backlog tickets and proactively identify issues requiring escalation. Document and verify all service events and create detailed reports when necessary. Research and recommend infrastructure improvements following industry best practices and vendor guidance. Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure security and integrity of all systems. Test and install vendor or thirdparty updates. Perform hardware and software upgrades. Administer and maintain backup systems and conduct regular restore and disasterrecovery tests. Manage and maintain user access to various infrastructure systems for our clients. Act as a technical resource or advisor on projects as needed. Provide mentoring and training to the rest of the team. Desired Qualifications Professional certifications such as VCP, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, ITIL. Handson experience with virtualization technologies (vSphere, vCenter, HyperV) and iSCSI/NFS HA clustering, vMotion on vSwitches. Knowledge of SCCM, WSUS, Active Directory administration, RDS, MS SQL, DHCP, DNS, with Linux skills an asset. Experience with Microsoft 365. Strong networking skills: firewall, routers, intrusion detection, redundancy, BGP, DHCP v4, Azure/WinRM. Experience with ConnectWise Automate. High school diploma or equivalent; a technical college or university degree preferred, or an acceptable combination of education and experience. At least five years of industry experience. CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Network+. Requirements Valid drivers license and vehicle. Travel as required. Additional Details Type of position: Nonmanagerial.
