2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsDirect message the job poster from Calian GroupRecruiter - Learning and Advanced Technology Services at Calian GroupBusiness Unit 2: DefencePosition OverviewCalian Learning Solutions is seeking a full-time Junior Instructional Designer to join our team at CFB Gagetown.Storyboard EL/DL products based on process, standards, content, media, learner profiles, instructional methods, and knowledge levels, prioritizing leadership directives.Coordinate with courseware project SMEs and OPIs for content acquisition, clarification, and alignment of EL/DL content with Program Objectives (POs) as per the Technical Proposal (TP). These SMEs and OPIs may be part of the ALSC team or TE personnel.Advise and liaise with production and quality assurance teams during product design, development, release, and evaluation phases, including contributing to learner assessment products, QC checks, verifications, and peer reviews.Assist Intermediate Instructional Designer in conducting QC reviews if required.Synthesize content into engaging and effective instructional designs.Create assessment questions aligned with learning objectives.Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams including DND civilian and military personnel, interns, and contractors.Participate in planning, meetings, and working groups related to courseware production and content review cycles.Maintain documentation according to style guidelines.Prepare courseware texts for translation.Support project planning and scheduling.Assist in designing learning solutions and preparing design documents.Support prototype and beta test development, ensuring standards compliance.Liaise with development staff during production to refine media specifications and storyboards.Identify obstacles, scope changes, or impacts on deliverables.Ensure compliance with policies for Controlled Goods or Sensitive materials.Additional sub-tasks include:Conduct background research and content analysis.Assist in project documentation and translation efforts.Review source materials and interview SMEs for content acquisition.Map course objectives and assessment strategies.Complete monthly deliverables as mandated.Contribute to the creation, review, and refinement of prototypes and beta tests.Assist in effort estimation and time tracking for courseware tasks.Provide advice, guidance, and presentations on courseware and project issues.Support resolution of project-specific issues and strategies.Foster positive relationships across teams and stakeholders.Perform peer reviews on storyboards and mentor interns.Mandatory Requirements:College degree in any field.Minimum of 5 years of instructional design experience in the last 10 years.At least 3 years of experience in eLearning product instructional design in the last 10 years.OR undergraduate degree in Education, Adult Learning, Distance Learning, or eLearning with at least 1 year of instructional design experience.Ability to obtain a Federal Government of Canada Security Clearance.Senior levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionManagement and ManufacturingIndustriesStrategic Management ServicesReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Calian Group by 2xGet notified about new Automotive Technician jobs in Gagetown, New Brunswick, Canada.Were unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
