Job Summary The Junior IT Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting the IT team with their daily tasks and operational needs. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Junior IT Systems Administrator will assist with system maintenance, troubleshooting, and general IT support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Duties And Responsibilities Analyze phishing emails and create cybersecurity awareness campaigns. Review and investigate firewall and web filter logs, including managing web filter allow and disallow lists. Oversee email security management and perform MDT application updates. Manage virus updates, patches, and service packs, including testing, staging deployments, and documentation. Assist with basic administration of VMware vCenter, Cisco UCM, and Unity Connection. Troubleshoot routing, switching, and wireless network issues. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems and respond promptly to system and network security incidents or breaches. Build and maintain comprehensive process documentation. Perform other IT-related duties as assigned. Job Requirements Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux servers, core services, and enterprise applications. Strong understanding of networking concepts, including routing, switching, and firewalls in an enterprise environment. Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, PowerCLI, Bash, and Python. Preferred Qualifications Degree or Diploma specializing in Information Technology. CCNA or CCNP Certification Work Location: Hybrid (In-office 3 days per week, subject to change) City: Surrey Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: 54,000 - 70,000 CAD This range reflects the minimum and maximum target payable for the base salary of new hires across all Canadian locations.
