The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Pediatrics, Dalhousie University, and the Canadian Center for Vaccinology (CCfV) is seeking applications to fill a full-time (1.0 FTE) position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will be a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist who will serve as a consultant in pediatric infectious diseases based at IWK Health, the tertiary care pediatric and womens hospital for the Maritime provinces, teach within Dalhousie University medical school and postgraduate training programs, and will be expected to develop a research program in clinical trials of vaccines. The individual must have demonstrated their potential to conduct independent research and collaborate with other investigators. Up to 70% of the position will be designated for research with teaching, other academic activity, and clinical service in the remaining time. Academic appointment as an Assistant or Associate Professor will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position will be based at CCfVs facilities. CCfV brings together an interdisciplinary team of researchers, clinician scientists, and trainees engaged in vaccine discovery, evaluation, and health policy and translation. Academic Qualifications Academic qualifications include an MD degree or equivalent and specialty training in pediatrics and infectious diseases. Eligibility for medical licensure in Nova Scotia is essential.
