Come join the dynamic Calgary Rural Rehabilitation team! This part-time 4 day/week opportunity will be based at High River General Hospital and is focused on supporting Rehabilitation programming in facility and surrounding communities. The Rehab Team Lead (Physiotherapist II or Occupational Therapist II) provides coordination of the rehab services out of the High River hospital and supports rehab program development initiatives across the Rural Calgary zone. This part-time position involves supervision of students and team members as assigned and works closely together with the manager for Rural Adult Allied Health. The position provides clinical and operational leadership within the service area to ensure safe, efficient and clinically appropriate client care and operates as a liaison with other services on-site. The rehab team in High River consists of 3 PT, 2 OT, 3 TA, 1 EHDI screener, 1 RRT, 1 SLP, and 1 Adm. The Rehab Team Lead also provides direct patient services and functions as an integral member of the inter-professional team. The Rural Allied Health team at High River General Hospital provides rehabilitation services for acute care, Long Term Care, outpatients, and home care. Responsibilities: Provide coordination of physiotherapy and other allied health clinical services. Provide supervision of students and team members as assigned. Work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team providing leadership to other healthcare professionals. Make day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs regarding assessment, intervention, discharge and follow-up. Make decisions and advise team members on complex clinical cases and provide clinical leadership within the program or service area to ensure safe, efficient and effective client care. Requirements: Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta. At least 5 years clinical experience (0.8 FTE or more) in a rural acute care, Long Term care setting, or home care setting. Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of change management and process improvement principles. At least 1 year of previous experience supporting different service areas in a similar clinical setting. Previous experience in an in-scope formal or informal leadership position. Previous experience in a complex outpatient care setting. Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to work between multiple service areas. #J-18808-Ljbffr
