Job Description

Position Title: Project Manager, Come to Work AI Apprenticeship Program Full Time, Contract Location: Red Deer area (Central Alberta), Alberta Reports To: Executive Director, Come to Work Scope and Summary of Primary Responsibilities The Project Manager will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of CNIBs Come to Work AI Apprenticeship Pilot Program. This role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the program, including: recruitment and screening of applicants; design and delivery of the AIfocused curriculum; deployment of apprentices into CNIB business units; and ongoing oversight and support for both apprentices and supervisors. The Project Manager will ensure the program is designed and delivered in alignment with CNIBs strategic priorities, accessibility standards, and commitment to inclusion. Essential Functions Work collaboratively with the Executive Director, Come to Work, and CNIB leadership teams to design and implement the pilot program. Establish and maintain effective partnerships with internal business units to identify apprenticeship placements. Engage with external stakeholders, including postsecondary institutions, AI experts, and accessibility consultants, to support curriculum development and program delivery. Provide guidance and support to apprentices, ensuring positive and meaningful learning experiences. Anticipate and resolve challenges related to recruitment, curriculum design, and apprenticeship placement. Ensure the program meets deadlines and deliverables tied to the pilots funding and evaluation schedule, including interim and final reporting where required. Invite feedback from participants on program design and delivering, making recommendations on program. curriculum and project identification mechanisms. Develop evaluation measures to assess impact, successes and challenges and scalability of the program beyond the pilot phase. Make recommendations on applicant selection, curriculum design, and program adjustments. Independently oversee daytoday program operations, escalating strategic decisions to the Executive Director. Lead the coordination of crossfunctional teams in supporting apprenticeship deployment. Mentor and support apprentices in developing workplace readiness and applied AI skills. Champion CNIBs values of accessibility, inclusion, and innovation throughout all program activities. Qualifications Knowledge and Skill Requirements Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills and ability to work on virtual platforms like Microsoft Teams or Zoom. Knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts, digital accessibility, and inclusive program design. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated commitment to accessibility and inclusion. Experience and Education Postsecondary degree or diploma in project management, business administration, computer science, education, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 35 years of experience managing projects, preferably in education, workforce development, or technologyfocused programs. Experience with recruitment, curriculum development, and/or apprenticeship program coordination is an asset. Familiarity with CNIBs mission and the barriers faced by individuals who are blind, partially sighted, or Deafblind is considered an asset. Work Environment Contract position, with flexibility to work remotely. May require occasional travel to CNIB offices or partner sites across Canada. Requires ability to work in a fastpaced environment with competing priorities.
