Were seeking a Bar Mill Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Bar Mill and Heat Treat department. Reporting to the Director, Bar Mill Operations, this role is critical in driving performance and safety. **Responsibilities** - Lead and manage a team of Bar Mill Operations Supervisors. - Oversee daily operations to ensure production targets and quality standards are met. - Drive for accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. - Equip supervisors with the tools, resources, and training needed to succeed. - Act as a key liaison between supervisors and senior leadership. - Support supervisors in managing attendance, performance, and employee relations. - Manage departmental budgets and contribute to strategic planning. - Ensure compliance with safety protocols, operational procedures, and housekeeping standards. - Conduct investigations in collaboration with HR, HSE, and groups as needed. **Qualifications and Experience** - Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. - Experience working in a unionized setting is essential. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - High level of integrity, work ethic, and leadership capability. **Details** - Competitive compensation package - Employer paid benefits and pension contributions - Full time, permanent, In-town opportunity - Monday to Friday schedule (7:30 AM to 4:30 PM), flexibility is required to accommodate shutdowns, breakdowns, etc. - Pre-employment Drug and alcohol testing and Criminal Record Check required **This posting will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.**
