Job Summary Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining oil burner heating systems. Install components and ensure proper operation. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning oil burners and their components and controls. Lay out oil burner heating system components and assemble components using hand and power tools. Test installed units and adjust controls for proper functioning. Perform scheduled maintenance and service. Install oil burner components and connect to fuel supply, ventilation, and electrical systems. Qualifications Experience: 3 to less than 5 years. Registered Apprenticeship certificate (or equivalent). Oil Burner Mechanic (Residential) Trade Certification. Oil Burner Mechanic (Residential) Red Seal Certificate. Mechanical experience with float gauges, burners, pumps. Valid Canadian driver's licence. Criminal record check clearance. Work Environment Work site environment: Noisy, odors. Work setting: Commercial (Residential included). Physical requirements: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling. Attention to detail, manual dexterity. Dependability, judgement, team player.
