The Application Engineer will establish and lead the Configure-to-Order (CTO) framework across STS, PDU, UPS, RPP, and Transformers. This role defines, builds, and enforces scalable product configuration processes that minimize engineering involvement in quoting and accelerate organizational growth. Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities Establish and lead the companys CTO process from the ground up. Develop and maintain configuration datasets (options, rules, dependencies). Define and enforce standards for configuration management. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to define standardized options. Partner with Product Marketing and Engineering to align customer requirements with feasible options. Provide Sales with configuration tools to distinguish CTO vs. ETO work. Own reduction of validation loops by preventing misquoting. Rationalize and simplify product options. Prepare the CTO framework for transition to CPQ systems. Education And Background Required Bachelor degree in either Mechanical or Electrical preferred 7+ years in Application Engineering, Product Configuration, or CTO/CPQ-related roles. Direct experience establishing CTO/CPQ frameworks. Strong knowledge of configuration management principles, BOM structures, and ERP/CPQ integration. Skills Required Advanced Excel and structured data handling. Familiarity with SysPro ERP, CPQ systems, EPLAN, SOLIDWORKS, Power BI. Proven ability to design enforceable rules that reduce engineering rework. Strong leadership and communication. Self-starter able to define new processes. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally (Sales, Marketing, Engineering). Additional Requirements Hybrid on-site presence at Brampton facility. Occasional travel for cross-functional coordination (minimal).
