Job Description The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RIMUHC) is a worldrenowned biomedical and hospital research centre located in Montreal, Quebec. The RIMUHC is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. It is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Qubec Sant (FRQS). Position Summary The incumbent will support Dr. Ahuns research on the mechanisms through which parental mental health and parenting impact early child development. They will contribute to the BUNDLE study, which tests whether early childhood development is improved by a bundled set of interventions that promote responsive stimulation and improved feeding integrated into existing infection prevention and treatment activities of the health system. The coordinator will assist with training data collectors, developing study protocols, preparing intervention materials, cleaning and analysing data, and preparing manuscripts. The role reports to Dr. Marilyn N. Ahun. General Duties Finalize qualitative interview guides Transcribe audio recordings from qualitative interviews Develop coding dictionary and code transcripts Analyse and summarise qualitative data Contribute to adaptation of parenting manual based on qualitative data Contribute to development of study protocols and data collection tools Liaise with and facilitate communication between the research team at the University of South Carolina and Dr. Ahun Complete other researchrelated tasks for Dr. Ahuns overall research programme (e.g., data analysis, manuscript preparation, grant applications, etc.) Education & Experience Bachelors degree (required) in Public Health, Health Promotion, Global Health, Psychology or a related field Masters degree (preferred) 12 years of research experience Required Skills Ability to work autonomously Strong organisational skills Open and honest communication Attention to detail High standards of quality and continuous improvement Maintains confidentiality and discretion at all times Additional Information Position: Temporary, fulltime (35hour work week) Pay Scale: $41,550.60 $62,353.20, commensurate with education and experience Work Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:00pm Work Site: 5252 boul. de Maisonneuve If you wish to include a cover letter, please attach it with your resume in one document.
