Our client, a leading manufacturer of metal processing for a variety of Industries, including Construction and Automotive to name a few, located in the Windsor area is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Supervisor (Afternoons) for their production facility. Job Responsibilities Leadership, Management and Team Building Lead the shift and accomplish the required plant maintenance by directly supervising the coworkers in the maintenance department. Work cross-functionally amongst peers and across departments to achieve targets & objectives. Lead and support continuous improvement and 6S initiatives within the organization. Ensure people are trained and competent, and equipment is in good order Motivate people to achieve objectives through communication and feedback Maintain the workflow by monitoring steps of the whole process, monitoring resources and personnel Ensure people are trained, competent, and equipment is in good order Implement continuous improvement of workplace culture through coaching team members, developing mutual respect, teamwork, and supporting coworkers to maximize their potential Assist in ensuring all of LAK (other shifts and departments) are successful Employee Health and Safety Maintain a safe and organized work environment by maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures Ensure that all team members abide by all health and safety policies and procedures Take immediate action as required when an unsafe situation arises Encourage people to report all incidents and near misses in a timely manner so that proper measures can be taken Operations Administration Responsible for accurate reporting in maintenance activities, daily shift reports, weekly overtime, time and attendance. Make recommendations to improve the plant maintenance programs, equipment uptime, department efficiency and equipment performance.
