Location Consumers Drive & Thickson Road South Schedule MondayFriday, 12:00 PM8:30 PM Compensation Base Pay: $19/hr + Shift Differential: 8% Total Pay: $20.52/hr Summary Join a fastpaced laboratory environment where attention to detail, organization, and constant movement are key. Ensure a steady inventory of clean glassware and support documentation management while following strict safety protocols and PPE requirements. Essential Functions Collect and sort laboratory glassware for washing according to established procedures. Operate laboratory glassware washers, dryers, and pipette washers. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of washing machines. Maintain detergent inventory and order replenishments as needed. Inspect glassware for cleanliness before restocking in labs. Manage inventory of glassware, stoppers, and cleaning supplies; initiate orders for shortages. Collect laboratory waste (liquids, syringes, vials) and properly dispose of according to protocols. Assist lab chemists as requested. Regularly coordinate waste removal, including empty reagent bottles, used syringes, filters, and vials. Monitor and maintain lab cleanliness. Digitize, store, photocopy, distribute, file, and archive laboratory documents. Manage offsite document storage, notebooks, logbooks, and associated databases. Support alternating or rotating shift work, as required. Required Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma. At least 1 year in a scientific/lab environment. Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word). Strong oral and written communication. Multitasking ability; detailoriented; reliable. Proficient in English. Physical Requirements Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for prolonged periods. Lift, carry, and move items (1035 lbs; repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs). Dexterity for grasping, typing, operating lab equipment. Visual acuity and auditory ability for safe equipment operation and communication. Use of PPE such as safety glasses, shoes, lab coat, gloves, apron, and occasionally organic respirator.
