Job Description

Responsibilities Oversee and optimize concrete mix designs, including specialty architectural and zero-slump mixes Lead, train, and support the quality inspection team and batch plant operators Identify and resolve mix design inconsistencies with proactive corrective actions Develop and enforce rigorous testing protocols and quality procedures Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, including follow-up actions Foster collaboration between quality and production teams to ensure smooth operations Manage raw material inventory and cost control for concrete distribution Promote knowledge sharing and workforce development within the quality department Ensure timely coordination of remedials and final product delivery Estimate lab, mix, and inspection-related costs Conduct investigations to support corrective actions and failure analysis Oversee sample fabrication and ensure alignment with production capabilities Perform additional duties as required Qualifications & Experience Post-secondary education in civil engineering, engineering technology, or a related field Proven experience in quality assurance, preferably within the construction or concrete industry Supervisory experience is a strong asset Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings Solid understanding of CSA, ASTM, and DTI standards What Were Looking For A strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills A hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-project environment A clear communicator who can navigate diverse teams and resolve conflicts effectively A champion of accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement As a member of the OSCO Construction Group, Strescon offers a comprehensive compensation package including health and dental coverage, life insurance, RRSP and tax-free savings account options.
