Seneca Polytechnic Faculty/School Nanji Foundation School of NursingProgram All programs (BSN, BSNB, BSNF, PND, PSW)Campus Newnham and King CampusesResponsibilitiesResponsible for providing academic leadership in the classroom and ensuring an effective and compelling learning environment for students.Teaching ExcellenceEngage students with course objectives, approach, and evaluation techniques, fostering active learning.Utilize active learning strategies across online, hybrid, flexible, and in-person formats to enhance engagement.Harness educational technology to create dynamic and interactive learning experiences.Provide academic counseling and tutoring support as needed.Create vibrant learning environments by using resources, integrating real-world experiences, and organizing enriching field experiences.Course and Curriculum DevelopmentDesign equitable assessments and diverse formative and summative methods catering to different learning styles.Collaborate with program directors and stakeholders to refine course objectives and learning approaches to meet student and industry needs.Drive curriculum development through innovative instructional methods and multimedia resources.Champion selection of textbooks and materials aligned with objectives.Academic LeadershipOffer mentorship to fellow instructors to elevate teaching standards.Participate in curriculum development through consultative committees.Engage in industry and community-linked applied research to enrich student learning.What You Bring To SenecaMinimum of three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.Minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level.Master's degree in Nursing (minimum).Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and commitment to diversity, inclusion, integrity, and excellence.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with Senecas diverse community, prioritizing equity in education.Note: A teaching demonstration will be required during the recruitment process. Consideration will be given to qualified internal full-time academic and partial-load employees first in accordance with the Collective Agreement requirements.
