Were looking for an experienced Database Expert to conduct a full assessment of our current PostgreSQL environment and guide us through the design and optimization of our future database architecture. This is a hands-on, short-term engagement for someone who can quickly understand complex systems, identify performance and reliability issues, and provide clear, actionable recommendations for improvement.Perform a comprehensive health check and assessment of the current PostgreSQL database environmentReview performance, scalability, security, and operational practicesIdentify bottlenecks, configuration issues, and opportunities for improvementDevelop recommendations and a high-level design for a future-state database architecture aligned with business and technical goalsAdvise on best practices for data management, backup and recovery, monitoring, and automationCollaborate with internal stakeholders and technical teams to ensure recommendations are practical and well-understoodOptionally assist in early implementation or knowledge transfer to internal staff What you bring to the job You are someone with several years of hands-on experience in database administration, design, and optimization, with a strong focus on PostgreSQL.
