Our clients include high-net-worth individuals, corporations, institutions, and foundations.Qube is seeking a Student Financial Planner who will be trained in the foundations of the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Completing our financial planning bootcamp, the successful candidate will learn the basics of wealth management. Working with our Investment Counsellors to provide tax and financial planning assistance to our clients.Job Outline:Under the supervision of Qubes Investment Counsellors, the Student Financial Planner will input and interpret financial data for portfolio reviews, retirement and estate plans, and ad-hoc wealth planning.Complete quotes and planning for Qubes insurance clients (life, disability, and critical illness).Plan for and complete meeting prep for Investment Counsellors.Assist with client outreach and communications.Additional ad-hoc duties as requiredJob Location: In office on site (Edmonton)Remuneration & Benefits:$24/hr based on 35 hours per week50% reimbursement upon completion for any or all of the following FP Canada courses:Retirement Planning Course, Investment Planning Course, and Estate Planning and Law for Financial PlanningOne-week holiday for 4-month terms and two-week holiday for 8-month termsHealthy(ish) snacks and beverages providedMonthly staff lunchesQualifications:Third or fourth year student at an accredited post-secondary institution in a Finance or Accounting Program (or equivalent)Your Key Attributes:Intellectually curiousWishing to pursue the CFP designationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong ability to research and problem-solveAbility to work independentlyAccuracy and attention to detailQubes CultureWe know our people make us successful, which is why we foster an environment that is supportive and intellectually stimulating.
