Senior Superintendent Buildings Division (Edmonton, AB)Opportunity with a Leading National General ContractorA general contractor with an extensive portfolio across Canada is currently seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to oversee major commercial construction projects in Edmonton. This company is known for delivering technically challenging, high-value projects across healthcare, institutional, mixed-use, and commercial sectors, offering a supportive and results-driven work environment.Role OverviewThe Senior Superintendent will be the primary on-site leader responsible for managing the successful execution of large-scale commercial building projects, typically valued at $100 million or more. This role demands strong leadership in site operations, safety, quality, scheduling, and budget control, while directing a diverse team of site personnel, trades, and subcontractors.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all aspects of construction operations from mobilization through project closeoutOversee site logistics, coordinate scheduling, and manage daily activities to ensure progress and efficiencySupervise, mentor, and develop site teams, promoting a strong safety culture and high standards of workmanshipCollaborate with project management, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to address and resolve challenges promptlyEnsure strict adherence to safety regulations, quality assurance standards, and contractual requirementsQualifications and ExperienceMinimum 10 years of commercial construction experience with at least 5 years in a senior supervisory capacityDemonstrated success managing complex commercial projects with budgets exceeding $75 millionComprehensive knowledge of construction methods, site safety practices, and scheduling toolsStrong leadership abilities with excellent communication and problem-solving skillsCapacity to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments involving multiple stakeholdersLocationThis position is based in Edmonton, Alberta.Why JoinCompetitive salary package and comprehensive benefitsAccess to a robust pipeline of high-profile projects and opportunities for career advancement
