Requisition Title: Senior Specialized IT ConsultantWork Location: TorontoPay Rate: CAD$80-CAD$90/hrDescription: The Senior Specialized IT Consultant will support digital health initiatives focused on improving clinical workflows and interoperability across healthcare systems. The role involves implementing HL7 FHIR standards, developing specifications, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to advance standards-based digital health solutions.Key Responsibilities:Gather and analyze business and technical requirements for digital health interoperability projects.Design, implement, and validate HL7 FHIR standards and related clinical terminologies (e.g., SNOMED-CT, LOINC).Develop FHIR artifacts, documentation, and testing materials using tools such as Simplifier, HL7 Validator, Forge, or FHIR Shorthand.Support specification development, standards orientation, and testing activities.Collaborate with technical, business, and clinical partners to ensure alignment with digital health and data strategies.Contribute to documentation and knowledge transfer throughout the project lifecycle.Required Skills and Experience:Extensive experience implementing HL7 FHIR standards and tooling.Strong understanding of pan-Canadian digital health standards and clinical terminologies.Experience working in healthcare environments (acute, primary, or community care).Proficiency with JSON, XML, and interoperability testing.Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and time management skills.Preferred Skills:Experience with FHIR Structured Data Capture (SDC).Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and cloud collaboration tools.Understanding of healthcare information systems and interoperability frameworks.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with proven ability to meet deadlines.
