Aircraft PaintersLocation: Fort Erie, OntarioEmployment Type: Full-time/Independent contractors OR employee/Long-termDuration : Minimum 6-months contract, with potential for permanent employmentShifts : Day and EveningAbout the RoleWe are seeking skilled and motivated Aircraft Painters to work on our client site in Fort Erie in Ontario, who agree to work on different shifts (day and evening) as an independent contractor or employee for at least 6 months of contract (also an opportunity for a permanent position).Key Responsibilities :Prepare metal/materials for assembly and finishing prior to shipping.Perform painting operations including topcoat application, masking, sanding, buffing, and baking.Mix paint and materials uniformly; apply coatings to mil specifications.Operate overhead cranes and other industrial equipment.Record detailed process data (e.g., cleaning times, temperatures, humidity, viscosity, thickness).Conduct visual inspections and touch-ups; verify finish quality and paint thickness using gauges/meters.Maintain traceability and proper identification of parts and materials (GR numbers, expiration dates).QualificationsHigh school diploma required; technical trade school or post-secondary education preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial aerospace painting or automotive. CompetencesAble to perform painting operations including surface preparation, primer application and topcoat finishing;Follow parts from receipt into work centres to acceptance by inspection, including complete and accurate records of traceability, safety and policy requirements;Meet the standard hours for each job while maintaining consistency and quality;Develop ways to improve or reduce the hours through method / process improvements.Ability to commute/relocate:Fort Erie, ON : Candidates must be able to reliably commute or relocate to Fort Erie, ON prior to starting work.Work Location: In person
