Requirements 5+ years of professional design experience, including team leadership within an agency or design-forward organization. Continually seek new and better ways to do things through technology and innovation, which includes but isnt limited to AI. A portfolio that demonstrates design mastery across branding, digital, campaign, and content systems. Deep knowledge of layout, typography, brand systems, and cross-platform execution. Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and related tools; experience guiding the adoption of new workflows or platforms. Experience mentoring designers and reviewing work with a sharp eye and clear direction. Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to guide clients and teams through design decisions. Comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and complex brand ecosystems Commitment to raising the creative bar through strategic, beautiful, and intentional design. Primary Objective for This Position The Design Director leads the craft, quality, and evolution of the agencys design practice. This role is both strategic and hands-on setting the standard for execution, guiding team development, and driving the creative process across multiple projects and platforms. As a senior member of the Creative team, you bring systems-level thinking, deep design intuition, and a passion for solving business problems through visual clarity. You work closely with Copywriters, Strategists, Technology and Account teams to create cohesive, high-impact work that builds brands and moves audiences. Key Responsibilities Lead the visual direction and design execution for major brand and campaign projects. Establish and uphold visual standards, systems, and best practices across deliverables. Guide and mentor designers, providing thoughtful feedback and helping shape their growth. Collaborate with Copywriters, Strategists, Technology and Account teams to align creative solutions with business goals. Present work to clients with confidence and clarity, representing the design perspective. Oversee quality control across all design work, ensuring pixel-perfect and strategically sound output. Push the agency forward through experimentation, innovation, and thought leadership. You will also : Model professionalism, flexibility, and solution-focused thinking on every project. Balance hands-on work with oversight of multiple streams and contributors. Bring new tools, references, and ideas to the team that inform and inspire. Act as a design advocate internally and externally, elevating client perception of creative value.
