A.S.P. is looking for a Bilignual Traffic control officer, who committed to ensuring the safety and efficiency of airport operations and seeking a skilled and dedicated candidate to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of our airport operations, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating vehicle traffic movements to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all passengers and drivers. What you will do : Act as a welcoming agent and greet passengers arriving at the airport in a helpful, friendly manner; Assist persons with disabilities from the curb into the designated waiting areas and with contacting their air carrier for further assistance; Monitor and verify vehicles and / or persons boarding the ferry or entering the ferry facilities; Monitor and control the ground transportation and parking activities, prevent unattended vehicles, and assist with curbside issues while maintaining the smooth and free flow of traffic on the Mainland and Island sides of the Airport; Educate passengers on parking and waiting options to help limit roadside congestion, unattended vehicles and ensure pedestrian safety; Patrol the groundside curb, taxi corral and finger lanes; Control of vehicles and pedestrians on airport property; Monitor transportation companies conducting business at the airport; Act as first response in case of emergency; Enforce the airport policies on groundside; Report all enforcement infractions and provide feedback to resolve problems or situations; During emergencies, assist in various roles such as traffic coordination, as required; Act as Evacuation Wardens during building evacuations; Liaise and communicate with parking enforcement, taxi inspectors and police, for enforcement purposes and take a proactive approach to resolve traffic related problems in accordance with regulations and / or PortsToronto policy; Carry and operate portable radios to communicate with each other and the Airport Operations Communication Center; and Other related duties as assigned. Who you are : Fluent in both French and English mandatory; Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 education; Eligible to work in Canada; Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Office; Self-motivated individual with a strong attention to detail. Vos responsabilits incluront notamment : Accueillir les passagers leur arrive l'aroport de manire amicale et serviable ; Aider les personnes handicapes depuis le trottoir jusqu'aux zones d'attente dsignes et les assister pour contacter leur transporteur arien pour toute assistance supplmentaire ; Surveiller et vrifier les vhicules et / ou personnes embarquant sur le traversier ou entrant dans les installations du traversier ; Superviser et contrler les activits de transport terrestre et de stationnement, prvenir les vhicules abandonns et aider en cas de problmes aux abords de la chausse tout en maintenant un flux de circulation fluide et scuritaire sur les cts continentaux et insulaires de l'aroport ; duquer les passagers sur les options de stationnement et d'attente pour limiter la congestion routire, les vhicules abandonns et assurer la scurit des pitons ; Patrouiller les trottoirs, les zones de taxi et les voies d'accs ; Contrler les vhicules et pitons sur la proprit de l'aroport ; Surveiller les compagnies de transport oprant l'aroport ; Agir en tant que premire rponse en cas d'urgence ; Faire respecter les politiques aroportuaires du ct terre ; Signaler toutes les infractions et fournir des commentaires pour rsoudre les problmes ou situations ; En cas d'urgence, aider dans divers rles tels que la coordination du trafic, selon les besoins ; Agir en tant que responsable de l'vacuation lors des vacuations de btiment ; tablir et maintenir des relations et communications avec les services de contrle de stationnement, les inspecteurs de taxi et la police, des fins de contrle et prendre des mesures proactives pour rsoudre les problmes lis la circulation conformment la rglementation et / ou aux politiques de PortsToronto ; Porter et utiliser des radios portatives pour communiquer entre eux et avec le Centre de communication des oprations aroportuaires ; et Autres tches connexes assignes.
