Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to join our growing technology team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, remote support and a willingness to travel frequently to Centex gas station locations across Ontario mainly for onsite support and installations.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide IT support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issuesInstall, configure, and maintain POS (Point of Sale) systems and related peripheralsSet up and troubleshoot POS hardware, LAN connections, and wireless networksPerform on-site installations and provide staff training on new systems and equipmentRespond to help desk tickets promptly and provide professional customer supportCollaborate with team members to resolve complex technical issuesHandle minor projectsMaintain accurate documentation of support activities and configuration recordsSafely lift, carry, and move computer equipment and boxes as requiredExperienceMinimum 2 years of experience in an IT support or technical fieldStrong knowledge of Windows and macOS environmentsFamiliarity with computer networking concepts and protocolsExperience providing both remote and in-person troubleshootingProficiency with help desk ticketing systems (e.g., Freshdesk or equivalent)Exposure to retail technology environments (POS, pinpads, or back-office systems) is an assetAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamQualifications and SkillsUnderstanding of networking tools, firewalls, and databases (e.g., SQL)Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilitiesAbility to clearly explain technical processes and solutionsEagerness to learn new technologies and systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsRequirementsValid Class 5 Drivers License (must be comfortable driving between sites)Must hold a valid open work permit, Permanent Residency, or Canadian CitizenshipWillingness to travel up to 75% of the time for installations and troubleshootingFlexibility to work rotating on-call hours and on weekends as neededPreferred CertificationCompTIA A+, MTA, CCNA, CCNP Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive salary: $60,000$65,000 annuallyBonus pay eligibilityDental care, vision care, life insurance, paid time offSupportive work environment with opportunities for career growth and trainingScheduleFlexible schedule with rotation of on-call hoursAbility to adjust hours as needed for site visits and technical issuesWork LocationHybrid: Based in GTA, ON, with frequent travel to Centex Gas station sites across OntarioIf youre an experienced and motivated IT Support professional looking for a dynamic and growth-oriented role, wed love to hear from you.
