Agropur is looking for a Production Supervisor night shift to join its Edmonton Ice Cream team for a temporary 15 month contract. The Production Supervisor night shift monitors operations of the production department to ensure that qualitative and quantitative measures included in the operating plan are met. Specific focus is on sanitation and quality results (HACCP and SQF), health and safety, good manufacturing practices and productivity. The incumbent participates to maintain the requirements on food safety, quality and defense. Other areas of focus are employee relations, production scheduling/staffing, cost reductions, and customer satisfaction. How Agropur invests in YOU Flexible group insurance plan. Salary range 004: 74 900$ to 93 600$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.) Whats involved in this role More specifically, the Production Supervisors responsibilities will include: Ensure compliance of health and safety regulations, and the ability to implement programs to improve safety culture. Responsible for employee relations including work direction of employees, hiring, training, performance reviews, administering policies and procedures, and disciplinary action. Provide leadership, direction and coaching to the Production, Milk Receiving and Cooler Warehouse team; Promote and enhance a positive employee relation atmosphere including efforts to continuously improve teamwork and establish high levels of employee involvement. Ensures consistent application of best practices towards product evaluation, food safety and quality to support and maintain Agropurs quality standards; Supports the operation of the HACCP team to ensure that the facility and documentation are suitable for third party/customer audits to maintain the SQF/ HACCP status at the plant; Monitor and ensure efficiency of plant equipment and resources and ensure production requirements are met on time. Responsible for achieving department budgets in the area of labour costs by measuring and improving productivity and processes. Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships. Result driven, bottom-line orientated, strives to exceed goals, and motivates self and others to achieve positive outcomes. Demonstrate ability to drive organizational change through strong interpersonal and communication skills and formal problemsolving techniques. What you need to join our team College diploma or university degree in a related field or other relevant training. 2-3 years experience as a supervisor in the food industry. Experience in a unionized environment (asset). Computer literacy, ideally with MS Office, Oracle. Knowledge of quality assurance systems (GMP, HACCP and SQF).
