They are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant in their Compilation Division , who is a qualified CPA, and experienced in Canadian Public Accounting to join their growing team. Responsibilities Independently prepare personal and corporate tax returns. Assist and independently prepare corporate and personal tax planning. (i.e. dividend vs. salary calculations) Strong understanding in Canadian taxation. Maintaining client files in a paperless methodology. Independently research tax issues and collaborate with the team to determine solutions, including correspondence with CRA. Independently work directly with clients. Effectively manage multiple projects and regularly monitor deadline budgets. Identify value-added services while working on engagements. Skills Highly organized and detail-oriented. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Superior customer service, with the ability to understand the clients' business and needs. Ability to work both independently with little supervision and within a team environment. Drive to grow skills through ongoing research and professional education. Ability to foster and maintain strong client relationships. Strong accounting background including knowledge of relevant accounting frameworks and file documentation best practices. Strong technical skills in CaseWare, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Tax Prep, Excel and Word. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years experience working in a Canadian Public Accounting practice.
