EBC is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to support operations in Toronto. This role is responsible for monitoring and supporting Health & Safety compliance across assigned construction projects. You will oversee safety-related planning, inspections, audits, incident prevention and training support. Responsibilities Conduct regular site inspections and annual audits to monitor compliance and recommend improvements Provide safety-related support and recommendations to management, project managers, and supervisors Deliver general orientation sessions for new personal management Ensure Health & Safety documentation is current and properly distributed Lead and supervise accident investigations; prepare reports and ensure reporting obligations are met Identify site-specific hazards and recommend control measures Support the development of emergency response/evacuation plans for each project Participate in government inquiries and support project compliance with official orders Guide project managers and superintendents in achieving safety objectives and building safety culture Ensure fair application of the progressive discipline system Track and analyze safety metrics and ensure alignment with project goals Requirements Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, or related field Minimum 8 years of safety experience in construction Strong knowledge of incident investigation and root cause analysis Eligible for Secret-level federal security clearance (EBC will assist with application) Proficient in Microsoft Office Strong document management and computer literacy skills Solid knowledge of OH&S Acts and Regulations with ability to explain rationale behind policies Certifications: NCSO Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (French bilingualism is an asset) Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Conditions offered by EBC 4 weeks of vacation annually Flexible group insurance from day one Employer contribution to Group RRSP and Deferred Profit-Sharing Plan (DPSP) 24/7 Virtual Doctor Access (Telemedicine) Ongoing training and development opportunities Employee assistance program Health & wellness initiatives and an active social club A values-driven workplace built on respect, integrity, and a job well done Recognized as one of Canadas Best Managed Companies In accordance with our policy, we will communicate only with the selected candidates for an interview.
