Your Job DarkVisions UX Designer will have the opportunity to work across our product lines and techstack to develop and maintain our internal analysis software and our externalfacing client deliverables. This role will collaborate heavily with the software engineering, research, product management, and data analysis groups to design extremely intuitive software tools that streamline our data analysis and provide our clients with actionable insights. This is an inoffice role based out of DarkVisions head office in North Vancouver, Canada and reports to our Software Engineering Manager. What You Will Do Improve and manage existing software products: You will work closely with the Inline Inspection and Downhole product teams to improve the UX of our existing software products. You will come up with effective design solutions that will improve product usability and reduce analysis timelines and pain points. You will collaborate crossfunctionally with the Product Management Team, Software Engineering Team, Data Team, Field Team, Sales Team, and Machine Learning Team to take new features from ideation to prototyping, to user testing, and launch. Design new software products: DarkVision is rapidly expanding our industrial inspection services into new market verticals. These product developments require significant software systems and bring significant opportunities for career growth. You will work with our internal teams to design effective user flows that allow product users to accomplish their goals seamlessly. You will create usercentered experiences, lead product discovery sessions, and create wireframes and prototypes for our upcoming new software products. Design customerfacing deliverables: DarkVision currently delivers highly differentiated industrial inspection datasets, visualizations, and reports as our final product to oil and gas companies worldwide. We have a high bar for quality, impact, and consistency. You will work on improving the look, feel, and experience of our existing customer deliverables and support the design of new customer deliverables. You will foster consistency across our brand and products. UX research: You identify product pain points and usability issues by using various UX research techniques like interviews, surveys, and focus groups. You will use your user research findings to guide your product design and lead usability testing. You will also help identify the underlying assumptions and validate or challenge them based on your research. You will also conduct foundational research to guide the direction of our new software products. Design system: You will establish DarkVisions design system that will ensure consistency across our products. You will also evangelize usercentered design principles and best practices by giving presentations and workshops. You will help the software team put users front and center when developing useful and usable software. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Able to work in our North Vancouver office on a daily basis. Experience creating or contributing to design systems. Expertise in Figma and / or Adobe design suite. 4 or more years of experience designing UX / UI for desktop applications. Portfolio of work samples. What Will Put You Ahead Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work autonomously and manage projects independently. General Salary Range For this role, we anticipate a base salary ranging from $90,000 to $150,000 as we are open to candidates from varying career levels. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. Additionally, everyone has individual work and personal needs.
