In this high-impact role, youll be the facilitator for a high-performing, cross-functional engineering team, ensuring Agile practices are understood, adopted, and continuously improved.As the Scrum Master, youll focus on enabling the team to deliver high-quality software by coaching them on Agile principles, promoting collaboration, and removing blockers. Youll work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to maintain a clear backlog, align priorities, and help deliver scalable solutions that power Aquanows growth. Beyond day-to-day team facilitation, youll champion Agile practices across the organization, ensuring our distributed teams remain aligned and productive. Youll drive predictability and accountability through delivery metrics, coach stakeholders on Agile ways of working, and foster cross-team collaboration to reduce silos. As Aquanow scales globally, youll play a key role in evolving our Agile frameworks to fit a fast-moving fintech environment, balancing speed, quality, and compliance in a highly regulated space.This is a full-time, permanent position, hybrid out of our Downtown Vancouver or Toronto office.What Youll DoPlan, organize, and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectivesEnsure teams are working collaboratively, maintaining focus on delivering high-quality softwareCoach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and self-organizationIdentify and remove impediments that block the teams progress while shielding the team from external distractionsSupport the Product Owner with backlog management, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and alignment with business objectivesEncourage adaptive planning and iterative delivery, promoting flexibility in project goalsTrack team performance metrics to identify trends, drive improvements, and increase delivery efficiencyAct as a servant leader and facilitator, enabling clear communication and alignment across teams and stakeholdersFoster a culture of continuous delivery, ensuring teams balance speed with quality and compliance in a regulated financial environmentPromote process improvement initiatives and evolve Agile practices to meet the growing needs of AquanowWed Love to SeeProven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within an Agile environmentExperience in high-growth fintech, crypto, or financial services where ambiguity and rapid scaling are the normDeep understanding of Scrum theory, principles, and practicesBackground working with cross-functional software development teamsA track record of scaling Agile across multiple teams or programs, not just a single squadExcellent facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skillsExperience supporting Product Owners and backlog refinementHands-on experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Trello, or similarScrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)Strong servant-leadership mindset: able to influence without authority and drive cultural changeComfort working with distributed, cross-functional teams across multiple geographiesA proactive mindset with the ability to foster collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvementAt our offices you will find a group of people that embrace diversity and value performance over pedigree.
