Nee Tahi Buhn First Nation is located at Francois Lake, British Columbia, with 4 reserves all located within 10 km of the south shore of Francois Lake. Nee Tahi Buhn is home to an ancient culture, a rugged history and a vibrant present. Our community is made up of approximately 140 members and we are committed to preserving and promoting our traditional language, culture and way of life. The Nee Tahi Buhn First Nation is guided by a dedicated team of leaders, including a Chief, two Councillors, and a Deputy Chief, all elected by our community to serve four-year terms. These leaders are committed to making decisions that benefit our community while ensuring that our cherished traditions and culture are preserved for future generations. Overview of the Role As the General Manager, you will lead the Nee Tahi Buhn Indian Band Administration with a commitment to implementing the vision and goals of the Band while embodying and modeling its values and guiding principles. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for coordinating, reporting, and administering executive and administrative policies, and ensuring the effective delivery of all Band programs and services to the community. Reporting directly to Chief and Council, the General Manager will oversee financial operations, cultivate a positive work culture, supervise Band employees, and ensure the successful implementation of community programs and services. The successful candidate will also foster communication and connections within the community, contributing to the overall well-being and development of the Nee Tahi Buhn community. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management and Budget Oversight Leadership and Team Building Service Delivery and Community Engagement Human Resources and Leadership Governance and Program Administration Strategic Development and Coordination Requirements: Bachelor''s degree in Business Administration OR a Diploma in Business or Public Administration with three years experience OR 5 years of administration and management experience combined. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to create a strong, cohesive, collaborative team. Strong financial management skills including the audit process. Experience implementing strategic and operation plans. Advanced communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and listen. Proven mediation and conflict resolution skills. Proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with tact and discretion. Experience working with First Nations and understanding of First Nations health, social, and information management concerns.
