Reports to the Chief Engineer or designate, operates, repairs and maintains low pressure steam and/or hot water boilers. Carries out preventative and demand maintenance on air conditioning equipment, emergency power and other related equipment of the facility in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Responsibilities Operate, repair and maintain facility boiler systems and related equipment in accordance with codes and regulations. Perform preventative and demand maintenance on air conditioning equipment, emergency power systems and related facility equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Qualifications Certificate of competency as a 5th Class Power Engineer recognized by the Province of BC. Two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Valid Class 5 vehicle license. Skills and Abilities Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications. Ability to deal with others effectively.
