Position Name ServiceNow Data AnalystType of hiring FulltimeLocation Remote CanadaJob Description: The ServiceNow Functional Analyst is entrusted with the responsibility of utilizing the ServiceNow platform to collect, analyze, and interpret data in order to inform organizational decision-making and enhance IT Service Management (ITSM) processes. Particular emphasis is placed on expertise with the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and data hydration practices, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of core IT assets. This position necessitates close collaboration with information technology stakeholders, process owners, and technical teams to guarantee data integrity, generate actionable insights, and foster continuous improvement across ServiceNow modules.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports within ServiceNow to deliver meaningful insights for both IT and business stakeholders.Extract, cleanse, validate, and hydrate data from ServiceNow modules, with a particular focus on Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, and especially the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).Conduct comprehensive analyses of trends, patterns, and anomalies present in ServiceNow data to identify opportunities for process optimization and risk mitigation.Engage with stakeholders to ascertain requirements and translate them into effective data solutions and visual representations.Monitor the accuracy, quality, and completeness of data, promptly addressing discrepancies and implementing appropriate corrective measures, with a special focus on CMDB data hydration and enrichment efforts.Support initiatives related to data migration, integration, and automation involving ServiceNow and other enterprise systems, including projects focused on CMDB data population and ongoing hydration.Prepare and deliver analytical findings, metrics, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and effective manner.Maintain thorough documentation pertaining to data models, reporting workflows, analytics deliverables, and CMDB data management processes.Required QualificationsBachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.Demonstrable experience as a Functional Analyst, preferably with substantive exposure to the ServiceNow platform, CMDB management, and data hydration techniques.Comprehensive knowledge of ServiceNow, including its reporting and performance analytics modules, as well as deep familiarity with CMDB structures and processes.Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.Capability to interpret complex datasets and present findings in a logical and concise format.Exceptional problem-solving and analytical acumen.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.Preferred SkillsPossession of ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or equivalent certifications.Experience with ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript), API integrations, and automation processes.Demonstrated expertise in CMDB population, maintenance, data quality initiatives, and advanced data hydration strategies.Familiarity with ITIL practices and IT Service Management best practices.Experience with data governance and frameworks that enhance data quality.
